Virginia: Governor submits amendments to Bill to amend CDPA to enhance children's protections

On April 8, 2024, the Governor submitted proposed amendments to House Bill 707 to amend the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (CDPA) in relation to protection for children, to the House of Delegates. In particular, the Governor proposed 'an amendment in the form of a substitute' to the bill which would expand the scope of the bill to cover all minors under the age of 18.
