International: Vietnam and Laos agree to enhance cooperation on information and communication
The Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Laos announced, on 17 December 2018, that they have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of information and communication ('the Agreement'). In particular, the Agreement highlights that Vietnam has supported the improvement on, among other things, information security and e-governance in Laos and that both countries have continuously coordinated effective implementation of cooperation programmes in regards to post, telecommunications and IT.
