Delaware: House introduces amendments to Bill to create AI Commission
On April 25, 2024, the Delaware House of Representatives introduced Amendment 1 to House Bill 333 to amend the Delaware code relating to artificial intelligence.
Amendment 1 adds the following to the bill:
- four additional members to the Delaware AI Commission:
- Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services;
- Secretary of the Department of Safety and Homeland Security;
- State Election Commissioner; and
- Executive Director of GEAR; and
- a clarification that members appointed to the Commission from the private sector may be individuals representing private sector entities with experience in developing or implementing artificial intelligence (AI).
