Quebec: AMF publishes discussion paper on responsible use of AI in the financial sector
On February 9, 2024, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) released a discussion paper on best practices for the responsible use of AI in the financial sector. The discussion paper explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the financial sector, highlighting best practices for the responsible use of AI focused on practices related to:
- consumer protection;
- transparency for consumers and the public;
- the appropriateness of AI systems;
- responsibility;
- AI design and use; and
- managing AI-associated risks.
