Summary: The BbgDSG provides for derogations from the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR') and data protection requirements within Brandenburg. The BbgDSG particularly emphasises exemptions for public sector activities as well as addressing matters such as collecting personal data from third parties and limits to certain data subject rights.
