Morocco: CNDP and CDG sign accession partnership agreement

The Moroccan data protection authority ('CNDP') announced, on 16 September 2021, that, with the Deposit and Management Fund (CDG), it has signed a partnership agreement for membership of the DATA-TIKA program. In particular, the CNDP outlined that this partnership aims to support the implementation of Law No. 09-08 on the Protection of Individuals with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data. In particular, the CNDP stated that this convention formalises the adhesion of the CDG Group to the DATA-TIKA program, set up by the CNDP on 9 July 2020 for the protection of personal data in order to protect Moroccan citizens within the digital ecosystem and strengthen personal data protection measures.
