Montenegro: AZLP initiates investigation of Ministry of Economic Development

The Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information ('AZLP') announced, on 25 February 2022, that it had initiated an investigation of the Ministry of Economic Development's processing of employees' personal data, following an anonymous complaint. In particular, the AZLP noted that, allegedly, the Ministry processes personal data of employees in such a way that access to the personal files of employees is provided to unauthorised persons without the consent of the employees.

Moreover, the AZLP outlined that, following the complaint, it had sent a letter to the Ministry and scheduled the beginning of the investigation for the end of February.
