Mauritania: Senate adopts data protection bill
The Senate adopted, on 6 June 2017, a bill on the protection of personal data during a plenary meeting chaired by the President of the Chamber, Mohamed El Hacen Ould El Hadj. Before the Senate vote, the Minister of Employment, Vocational Training and Information Communication Technologies, Moctar Dia Malal, explained that a regulatory authority would also be established.
