Kosovo: Government submits draft data protection law for consideration
The Government submitted, on 11 June 2018, Draft Law no. 06/L-082 on Personal Data Protection ('the Draft Law') to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo for its consideration. In particular, the Draft Law aims to transpose the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR') and comply with the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. It contains provisions on data processing legitimacy, data transfers, direct marketing and data subject rights, including in relation to automated individual decision-making.
