Iceland: Persónuvernd publishes annual report for 2023
On April 2, 2024, the Icelandic data protection authority (Persónuvernd) announced that it had published its 2023 annual activity report. In particular, the report notes that, during the reporting period, the Persónuvernd:
- carried over 371 cases from the previous years;
- received 2,083 newly registered cases;
- closed 2,152 cases; and
- completed 7 audits.
