Georgia: Bill for Consumer Privacy Act read in House

On February 29, 2024, Senate Bill 473 to enact the Georgia Consumer Privacy Protection Act was read for the first time in the Georgia House of Representatives. The bill, if enacted, will provide rights to data subjects and obligations on data controllers as it relates to personal information processing. Additionally, if enacted, the bill as passed will become effective on July 1, 2026.
