West Virginia: Bill for cybersecurity programs vetoed by Governor

On March 9, 2024, House Bill 5338 for a Safe Harbor for Cybersecurity Programs was vetoed by the Governor of West Virginia. In particular, the bill as introduced contained provisions for both a Consumer Data Protection Act and Safe Harbor for Cybersecurity Programs. Subsequently, the substitute bill only covered provisions for cybersecurity programs.
