Washington: Bill creating a charter of personal data rights referred to Civil Rights & Judiciary Committee

House Bill ('HB') 1616 creating a charter of people's personal data rights was referred, on 26 January 2023, to the House Civil Rights & Judiciary Committee. In particular, if adopted, HB 1616 would introduce individual rights, protections for minors, and requirements associated with the processing of biometric information.
