UK: Joint Human Rights Committee drafts bill on Coronavirus contact tracing app

The Joint Human Rights Committee ('the Committee') announced, on 15 May 2020, that it had drafted a bill ('the Draft Bill') to protect the personal privacy of data gathered by the COVID-19 ('Coronavirus') contact tracing app ('the App'). In particular, the Bill's provisions include, among other things, the purposes for which data can be gathered in the App, prohibition to use such data for other purposes, and setting out who can have access to that data.
