UK: Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill passes first reading in House of Lords

On November 22, 2023, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill passed its first reading in the House of Lords. In particular, the Bill was first introduced, on April 25, 2023, to the UK Parliament during the 2022-23 session as Bill 294 of 2022-23. The Bill was re-introduced during the 2023-24 session on November 8, 2023, passed its report stage on November 20, 2023, and had its third reading in the House of Commons on November 22, 2023.

The second reading is scheduled for December 5, 2023.
