Uganda: UCC publishes 2019 review
The Uganda Communications Commission ('UCC') published, on 10 January 2020, its 2019 review ('the Review') outlining the developments, activities and events which stood out in 2019. In particular, the Review highlighted, among other things, the activities of the Rural Communications Development Fund to increase internet connectivity and facilitate public access to e-government and e-commerce services, training to improve national cybersecurity readiness, as well as extended research and debate around the use of Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.
