Tennessee: Governor signs ELVIS Act into law

On March 21, 2024, the Governor of Tennessee signed House Bill (HB) 2091 on the Ensuring Likeness Voice and Image Security (ELVIS) Act into law, after the bill was passed by the Senate and House on March 7 and March 4, 2024, respectively. The bill, which was first introduced to the House on January 24, 2024, aims to update the Tennessee Protection of Personal Rights law to include protections for songwriters', performers', and music industry professionals' voices from the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI).
