Tennessee: Bill requiring executive branch to develop plans against unlawful use of AI placed in House Committee

On February 1, 2024, House Bill 2341 requiring the executive branch departments to develop a plan to prevent the malicious and unlawful use of artificial intelligence in the context of departments' operations, was referred to the Committee on the State Government. In particular, the bill defines the notion of artificial intelligence (AI) and requires each department to report its plan, findings, and recommendations to each member of the general assembly no later than January 1, 2025.
