On March 6, 2024, House Bill 2325, a companion bill of Senate Bill 2530, was placed on the State Government Committee calendar for March 13, 2024, following its introduction on January 31, 2024.

The bill, if enacted, would create the artificial intelligence (AI) advisory council until July 1, 2026. The purpose of the AI advisory council would be to recommend an action plan to guide awareness, education, and usage of AI in state government that aligns with Tennessees'  goals.

Furthermore, the bill would require the AI advisory council to provide a report, including a recommended action plan framework no later than six months from convening and a final report no later than 12 months from convening, containing the findings and recommendations of the council.
