South Korea: KISA announces initiative for personal information processing policies

On July 24, 2024, the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) announced that it would consult small and medium-sized businesses regarding the difficulties in drafting personal information processing policies. KISA stated that any small and medium-sized business or startup that processes personal information can apply through the personal information portal website and 80 companies will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until October 31, 2024.

KISA highlighted that the selected companies will receive a guide to writing a personal information processing policy through individual customized analysis and group training for industry-specific associations and organizations.
