Slovenia: IP publishes infographic on privacy impact assessment

The Information Commissioner ('IP') published, on 5 August 2022, an infographic on impact assessments regarding personal data protection. In particular, the IP highlighted that privacy impact assessments are an important tool with which organisations can adequately and timely manage the risks of violations of personal data protection regulations when introducing a new system or project, or using modern technologies. Moreover, the IP detailed that some mistakes are repeated, such as when a clear description of the risk assessment methodology is missing, risks are underestimated, the role of authorised persons for the protection of personal data is occasionally misunderstood, and there is a lack of inclusion of interested parties.
