Republic of North Macedonia: DZLP signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Secretariat for Legislation
The Personal Data Protection Agency ('DZLP') announced, on 18 January 2021, that it had signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Secretariat for Legislation. In particular, the DZLP noted that it had signed the memorandum for the efficient implementation of its competencies determined by law, reaffirming the joint commitment and interest in promoting cooperation between the two parties in the field of ensuring methodological unity in drafting laws and other regulations. In addition, the DZLP noted that it had signed the memorandum for the harmonisation of sectoral legislation in the Republic of Northern Macedonia with the regulations for personal data protection, which is one of the priorities in the process of harmonising legislation.
