Paraguay: Chamber of Deputies announces update on comprehensive data protection law

The Chamber of Deputies announced, on 11 June 2020, in a virtual meeting, that the Science and Technology Commission ('the Commission') discussed the personal data protection law of Argentina as part of its work on drafting a comprehensive data protection law in Paraguay ('the Draft Law '). In particular, Deputy Sebastián García noted that the Commission is still receiving proposals to improve the regulations and has invited interested parties to read about the project on its website at datospersonles.org.py.

You can read the press release, access the Draft Law, and track its progress, both only available in Spanish here and here.
