New Zealand: State Services Commission announces investigation into active Coronavirus cases privacy breach

The State Services Commission announced, on 6 July 2020, that there would be an investigation into the breach of sensitive personal information in relation to active COVID-19 ('Coronavirus') cases. In particular, the State Services Commission highlighted that the investigation will report on what caused the incident, whether any particular individual or individuals were responsible, and whether there is a risk of ongoing breaches or further exposure of the information.
