New Zealand: OPCNZ announces inquiry into Coronavirus data breach

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand ('OPCNZ') announced, on 5 August 2020, that it will be undertaking an inquiry into the distribution of COVID-19 ('Coronavirus') patient information by the Ministry of Health, following a recent investigation into the breach. In particular, the OPCNZ highlighted that it expects to be able to publicly report the findings and recommendations of the inquiry in early September.
