Massachusetts: Bill on internet bill of rights assigned number and referred to committee

House Docket No. 3245 for an Act Establishing an Internet Bill of Rights was assigned a bill number, namely House Bill 1555, on 16 February 2023, and thereafter referred, on the same date, to the Committee on Judiciary. In particular, the bill provides various data subject rights, including the right to be informed, to obtain confirmation of processing, to rectification without undue delay, to receive personal data, to transmit data, to object, to object to the processing of personal data for marketing purposes, and not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, among others.
