Israel: PPA allows transfer of personal information from Israel to countries with EU adequacy

The Privacy Protection Authority ('PPA') announced, on 1 July 2020, its compliance with Article 1 of the Privacy Protection (Transfer of Information to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761-2001. In particular, the PPA highlighted that information can be transmitted from the State of Israel to EU Member States, as well as to countries that will cease to be EU members, but will continue to apply and enforce the provisions of EU law on the protection of personal information.
