Ireland: Helen Dixon to step down as Commissioner

On November 15, 2023, the  Data Protection Commission's (DPC) Commissioner, Helen Dixon, announced via LinkedIn that they would step down from the position, marking the end of their tenure. In particular, the Commissioner confirmed their departure date set for February 19, 2024, as their final term at the DPC comes to a close. Reflecting on their journey that began in September 2014, the Commissioner witnessed significant growth, with the DPC evolving from a team of 27 members into a robust regulatory body comprising over 215 experts headquartered in Dublin.
