International: Ukraine and Slovenia sign MoU on cyber defence

The State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine ('DSSZZI') announced, on 27 July 2022, that it and the Government Office of the Republic of Slovenia had signed a Memorandum of Understanding ('MoU') in the field of cyber defence. In particular, the DSSZZI highlighted that the key areas of cooperation include:

  • the harmonisation of legislation and bilateral law enforcement cooperation in the field of combating cybercrime and cyber terrorism;
  • training of experts in the field of cybersecurity and cyber protection;
  • conducting research in the field of cyber protection; and
  • the exchange of information about cyber incidents, ways to identify vulnerabilities, and respond to cyber threats.
