International: Jordan and Japan sign memorandum of cooperation

On July 18, 2023, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of Jordan announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Japanese Minister of Digital Transformation. In particular, the Ministry noted that the memorandum was signed to provide support and training for both sides in the field of technology, promoting innovation, digital governance, and public services, which will be achieved through the exchange of best practices, participation in conferences and study visits, and the exchange of experts between the two nations.

Moreover, the Ministry highlighted that the memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation opportunities in IT, innovation, and digital transformation. The focus will be on modern digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, cloud computing, robotics, data-related technologies, electronic payment, digital identity, sustainable green IT, and smart cities.
