Inner Mongolia: IMARPG releases plan for Inner Mongolia's digital economy
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government ('IMARPG') released, on 22 January 2020, a plan for the development of Inner Mongolia's digital economy ('the Plan'). In particular, the Plan notes intentions to address security issues related to data collection, storage, transmission, and sharing, by, among other things, strengthening cloud security management and cyberspace entity identity management. Moreover, the Plan outlines that a security review system will be established for critical information infrastructure, and that cybersecurity risk warnings will be improved. In addition, the Plan highlights the expanded use of blockchain technology, Big Data, and artificial intelligence, as well as the development of cross-border e-commerce.
