Inner Mongolia: Government passes regulations on administration of public credit information

Credit China announced, on 4 April 2021, that the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth People's Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region had passed Regulations on the Administration of Public Credit Information of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In particular, Credit China noted that the measures outline data security requirements for organisations including the establishment of an information security management mechanism, emergency response mechanism, a credit inquiry system standard, an information management confidentiality review system, and the adoption of safe and controllable technical preventive measures. Further to this, Credit China highlighted that the measures provide information subject rights such as the right to know, deletion, and correction.

The measures will enter into effect on 1 June 2021.
