Indiana: Bill amending breach notification timeline signed by Governor

The Indiana Governor signed, on 18 March 2022, House Bill ('HB') 1351 to amend the Indiana Code with respect to the timeframe for notifying breaches. More specifically, the bill now requires that a disclosure or notification of a security breach be made without unreasonable delay, but not more than 45 days after the discovery of the breach.

This amendment will take effect on 1 July 2022.
