Hungary: Committee submits report on whistleblowing law in line with President's recommendations

On May 18, 2023, the Legislative Committee within the Hungarian Parliament sent its report on Proposal No. T/3089 about complaints, reports in the public interest, and rules relating to reporting abuse to Parliament for consideration. Notably, the report takes into account the recommendations of the President of the Republic of Hungary. The proposal transposes the Whistleblowing Directive and establishes specific requirements for internal whistleblowing systems.

You can read the proposal here and track its progress here, both only available in Hungarian.
