Hamburg: HmbBfDI publishes FAQ page on 2022 census
The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information ('HmbBfDI') published, on 11 May 2022, a frequently asked questions ('FAQ') page concerning the 2022 census which is scheduled to take place on 15 May 2022.
In particular, the HmbBfDI explained that citizens of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein will receive an invitation to participate in the 2022 census from the Statistical Office for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. Accordingly, the HmbBfDI provided answers on the topics of data disclosure, data collection, and data subject's rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR').
