Guernsey: GFSC revises financial crime and terrorist financing handbook

The Guernsey Financial Services Commission ('GFSC') announced, on 19 June 2020, that it has revised its Handbook on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing ('the Handbook'). In particular, the GFSC announced that it has created two new appendices, namely Appendix H, which lists those countries and territories which the Financial Action Task Force ('FATF') has identified with significant strategic deficiencies in their anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism ('AML/CFT') regimes, and Appendix I, which lists a number of countries and territories that are identified by the UK and US governments, intergovernmental, and supranational organisations such as the FATF as presenting certain AML/CFT risks.
