Georgia: Bill for Consumer Privacy Act read for second time in House

On March 4, 2024, Senate Bill 473 to enact the Georgia Consumer Privacy Protection Act was read for the second time in the Georgia House of Representatives. The bill, if enacted, will provide rights to data subjects and obligations on data controllers as it relates to personal information processing. Additionally, if enacted, the bill will become effective on July 1, 2026.
