Florida: Bill establishing Government technology modernization council signed by Governor

On April 29, 2024, Senate Bill 1680 creating the Government technology modernization council was signed by the Governor. The bill establishes the Government technology modernization council, whose purpose is to study and monitor the development and deployment of new technologies and provide reports on recommendations for procurement and regulation of such systems to the Florida Governor, the President of the Florida Senate, and the Speaker of the Florida House.

The bill will take effect on July 1, 2024.
