EU: European Parliament AI Act plenary vote moved to March 2024

On February 29, 2024, the European Parliament published the draft agenda for the European Parliament sittings of March 11-14, 2024. The draft agenda provides for the plenary vote on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council Laying Down Harmonised Rules on Artificial Intelligence (the AI Act) on March 13, 2024. This follows the signing of the AI Act by the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) on February 2, 2024, and the endorsement by the Internal Market (IMCO) and Civil Liberties, Justice, and Home Affairs (LIBE) Committees on February 13, 2024.
