Denmark: DBA announces cookie inspections on websites targeting children

The Danish Business Authority ('DBA') announced, on 7 July 2022, that it will be launching an inspection of a number of websites aimed at children and young people, with a focus on different types of cookies and similar technologies that can be used to share information with third parties. In particular, the DBA stated that the reason behind this inspection is children's vulnerability when using the Internet as often they do not have the necessary experience to be able to assess the impact to their data in connection with the websites and apps they use.
