Denmark: Datatilsynet updates code of conduct guidance

The Danish data protection authority (Datatilsynet) published, on June 26, 2023, an update to its guidance on codes of conduct, following guidance on the same from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) and new practical insights gained from the Ministry of Church Affairs' code of conduct. In particular, the updated guidance addresses reasons for creating a code of conduct, rules surrounding the creation of codes of conduct, as well as information on how they can be created, and details on how a code of conduct is monitored and the requirements on code owners with regard to the same.

Furthermore, the Datatilsynet specified that it had also created an application form for approval of codes of conduct.

You can read the press release here, the guidance here, and download the application form here, all only available in Danish.
