Connecticut: Bill relating to AI, automated decision-making, and personal data privacy passes Senate

Senate Bill 1103 for an Act concerning Artificial intelligence, automated decision-making and personal data privacy was passed with amendments, on 11 May 2023, by the Connecticut State Senate and thereafter, on 12 May 2023, sent to the Connecticut House of Representatives. In particular, the bill establishes an office of artificial intelligence ('AI') and exempts air carriers from certain provisions concerning data privacy.
