Bavaria: BayLDA's activity report highlights cooperation with European DPAs

On July 7, 2023, the Data Protection Authority of Bavaria for the Private Sector (BayLDA) published its 2022 activity report. In particular, the report highlights the challenges in monitoring and providing guidance linked to the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Further, the report outlines that the BayLDA received a total of 5,032 complaints and 2,991 reported data breaches. The report draws a positive conclusion on the BayLDA's cooperation with other European data protection authorities (DPA's), especially concerning data transfers and enforcement of data protection violations.

You can read the press release here and the report here, both only available in German.
