Baden-Württemberg: LfDI Baden-Württemberg issues 2022 activity report

The Baden-Württemberg data protection authority ('LfDI Baden-Württemberg') issued, on 10 February 2023, its 2022 activity report. In particular, the LfDI stated that it worked intensively with and advised responsible bodies to enable sustainable development by coupling data protection and digital transformation, whilst also providing guidance and clarification on data protection issues.

Further, the report outlines that, in 2022, the LfDI Baden-Württemberg received 3,796 complaints, and that the number of reported data breaches was still high at 2,747, while the amount of fines imposed totalled €145,950.
