Argentina: AAIP launches module on personal data protection to support companies and institutions

On October 12, 2023, the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP) launched a module on personal data protection to support companies and institutions. In particular, the module provides resources and tools for properly handling personal data, developing privacy policies, and adding value to organizations. Moreover, the AAIP noted that the module will be integrated into the Integrity and Transparency Register for Companies and Entities (RITE).

Private companies, public entities with state participation, cooperatives, and non-profit organizations that complete the module can add value to their organizations and align with international standards by accessing information related to risk assessment, data protection areas, proactively demonstrated responsibility policies, training, and communication channels, among other topics. Additionally, the module includes a toolbox with educational materials, videos, templates, model documents, and other resources to support the strengthening of privacy and personal data protection actions.

Furthermore, the AAIP highlighted that institutions must register with the RITE in order to access the module.

You can read the press release here and the RITE registrations here, both only available in Spanish.
