African Bodies: ESAAMLG issues second follow-up report on Mauritius' AML/CTF measures
The Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group ('ESAAMLG') issued, on 21 October 2019, the Second Enhanced Follow-up Report and Technical Compliance Re-Rating ('the Report') on Mauritius' anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing measures ('AML/CTF'). In particular, the Report outlines the progress of Mauritius' in strengthening AML/CTF measures since their 2018 assessment. In addition, the Report notes that since its 2018 mutual evaluation, Mauritius has made progress in addressing deficiencies and has been re-rated on 19 of the 40 Recommendations.
