CNIL urges organisations to bring websites and apps in compliance with new cookie rules
States continue to introduce privacy bills
States across the US continued to introduce bills aimed at the protection of privacy, with varying degrees as to their scope of application. In Oklahoma, House Bill 1602 for the Oklahoma Computer Data Privacy Act was introduced in the House of Representatives and has been referred to the Committee on Technology for a second reading. In Washington, the People's Privacy Act, a bill designed to protect individual personal data both online and offline was also introduced, whilst in Virginia, House Bill 2307 to Amend the Code of Virginia passed the State House of Delegates and was referred to the Committee on General Laws and Technology.
