CCPA Updates: What You Need To Know
In this video, we take a closer look at the California Privacy Rights and Enforcement Act which was announced in September 2019 as well as several bills signed by the California Governor. The California Privacy Rights and Enforcement Act proposes several amendments to the CCPA including a changed definition of 'Business' and a new category of 'Sensitive Personal Information' as well as increased protection of children's personal information. In October 2019, the California Governor signed several bills amending the California Consumer Privacy Act. Among these bills was AB 25 which would exempt information collected by businesses from their employees or contractors from the application of the CCPA until January 1, 2021.
