Unpacking New Digital Data Laws Across Europe: Addressing the DMA, DSA, UK Online Safety Bill, AI Act, and Data Act
Webinar Series - Coming Soon!
Join OneTrust DataGuidance and Sidley Austin for a series of webinars focusing on the impact of recent legislation aimed at the regulation of digital platforms and data.
Since the EU announced its Digital and Data Strategy in February 2020, the European Commission has released several legislative proposals to regulate artificial intelligence, digital platforms and services, collection, and use and disclosure of data. Included within the proposals are the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the Digital Services Act (DSA), the AI Act and the Data Act.
The UK — which, since Brexit, will no longer be covered by the EU Digital and Data Strategy — has been working on its own National Data Strategy which includes the UK Online Safety Bill (OSB). While the UK OSB is similar in scope and application to the EU DSA, there are some important differences between the two.
