Overview of China’s New Cybersecurity Law
China’s new Cybersecurity Law became effective in June 2017, and now imposes new restrictions on information flows from, and the handling of personal information by, operators of key information infrastructure and of information networks.
This webinar discusses key aspects of the new Cybersecurity Law, including data localisation, technology procurement, the handling of personal information and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
Our speaker Manuel E. Maisog, Partner at Hunton & Williams, discuss the categories of enterprises regulated under the new law and the set of obligations that apply to each category, and will provide an assessment of which businesses are likely to fall within each category.
